Which Marji Hazen?
This is the Marji Hazen who hosted Marji's Ballad Book, a weekly live radio folk music program. The first broadcast was from WBCR Radio in Bluffton, Ohio in 1961. From the summer of 1961 through late 1985 it was broadcast on WMAN, a commercial station in Mansfield, Ohio. From 1986 through 1990, it ran on WCBE, a PBS station in Columbus, Ohio. It also appeared for short periods of time on other PBS stations including WOSU Columbus. This is to differentiate from the gospel singer of the same name who is from the Akron area.
At this point, Marji's CDs are only available through a personal visit to Mike's Music Corner in downtown Ashland or attendance at one of Marji's in-person music programs.
Next CD set to be released will be Christmas music including all the original Christmas songs Marji wrote over the years plus arrangements of carols for lap dulcimer playalong in the Key of D.
